Undertaken new challenges
I always really enjoyed playing volleyball, but usually only did so on the beach or recreationally with friends. This activity was much more serious than that, which was challenging but also really beneficial. Working to improve my skills and play a better game made me look forward to using these skills in an organized competition with another team. I learned that I also perform well in competition despite never having practiced this before.
Worked collaboratively with others
Volleyball, unlike running and going to the gym is not an individual sport. Your personal skills, though important in the tactics of the game are not nearly as important as knowing how to work with other people in a team.
