Increased awareness of strengths and areas for growth

Before undertaking jogging as a part of my CAS program, I hated running. I knew it wasn’t a particular skill of mine. Despite this, I took the time and energy to improve. By the end I know I have made improvements I would never have made with my previous attitude. Outside of the CAS program, I now want to keep running as a kind of fitness in my life on a day-to-day basis. I discovered that I feel a lot better after running. Though its just a personal passtime, I have made progress both physically and mentally in regards to staying healthy and active.

Shown perseverance and comittment in their activities

It took a really long time to get used to the diea of running on a regular basis. However, towards the end I started to look forward to running. Taking out half an hour or more from my day wasn’t always fun, but that half hour makes a lot of difference in the long term.

Acquired new skills

From hating exercise to running regularely, I have made a lot of progress that I hope to carry with me throughout my life. I now have a form of fitness that I can do anywhere. It doesn’t require any equipment or a trainer, its just something I can do when I feel stressed to stay healthy.
